Students honor KC hero, Primitivo Garcia, who saved his teacher in 1967

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Tuesday, students at Primitivo Garcia Elementary School honored a Kansas City hero with songs and dance. They've never met their hero, his face decorated on the hallways, but know of him well. His name is Primitivo Garcia, the namesake of the school.

  3. This was an incident that really did shocked a lot of people in the area. I remember some teachers talking with us golden ghetto brats about this. Tivo was a hero no doubt along with Alfredo in coming to the aid their teacher in her time of need. So sad we seem to no longer have very many heros anymore. Maybe, just maybe, crime wouldn't be so bad if we did.
