TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! MISSOURI ROAD WARRIOR LAWYER STEPHEN MILLER RUNNING FOR KANSAS CITY MAYOR!!!

Yet another local power player lawyer enters the race for Mayor of Kansas City as the field grows even more crowded with attorneys of all kinds.

Check Stephen Miller's about page at his law firm Miller|Schirger . . . Here's the vast majority of his public service experience that started about 2009 . . .

"Steve was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission. The six-member Commission has authority over all state transportation programs and facilities, including bridges, highways, airports, railroads, mass transit, ports, and waterways."

So it looks like he's yet another development dude without a penchant for bow ties.

The "Miller For Mayor" campaign listing is kinda catchy but we feel like he needs something that speaks to the very small swath of KCMO voters who might actually cast a ballot for him . . . So we stole this design and reworked it for him . . . He can thank me later:

Anyhoo . . . This campaign declaration is notable if only because it revels that there really isn't a front runner yet and just about every local with a suit believes they're qualified for the job.

You decide . . .

Seems like a Democratic Party guy but might be the only person who isn't an SJW running so far.

He'll spend $50,000 to come in 4th place.

Because the working poor can suck it!

Based on his resume, it sounds like KCMO could greatly benefit from his professionalism and experience.

The first candidate who admits that the residents of KCMO are victims, not citizens would get my vote.

They'll all say what you want to hear to get elected. Once they're in office it's a big "fuck I'm going to dinner with some developers at the River Club on your dime" to the taxpayers.

So what's with the Campaign Logo?

"LIAR, LIAR, HORSE ON FIRE"?

JHC TKC proofread much?

If it's going to be more of the same of what we have with S'lie and his cronies then I'll pass. Getting tax raped for 8 years is enough.

@9:02AM-Jesus Christ-you're the reason Geezer Hater exists on this site! That logo is for The Steve Miller Band!!! Wake up and join us in the 2000's! Dummy!

Tony--that album cover is stupendous. great way to start the day.

So which lawyer camp is Steven Miller in? Development whore lawyer or trial lawyer. The last real mayoral race (Sly v Mike Burke) was the battle between those two camps. Then of course they joined forces trying to jam the taxpayers with a Bridesmaid's Going Away Gift to Burke of the $40 million subsidy/fee for the downtown hotel.

I agree with Real Kc at 6:12am (an early riser), $50 grand to place 4th. The Jim Kenworthy of this race...(oh, that is so inside baseball.)

11:24, Extremely sorry, I just can't recall every one the logos used by the entire sound alike mob of 1970s or 80s bands made up of has-been musicians that used to record crap no one remembers.

Have they played Branson or the Sprint Center yet?
Those places seem to be the natural habitat for Jurassic Guitar Geezers.

Respectfully yours,
Dummy, Esq.

^^Apology not accepted. You tried to be funny & clever. You failed on both parts. You revealed yourself to be nothing more than another hopelessly out-of-touch geezer. Go back to bed. You're all done here.

This might be the first candidate that would make me vote for Sly again if I could.

Apology not accepted, okay.
Sorry, buttmunch, you must have thought I was sincere!

My first post, the one that got you all "pissy", was intended as a joke, but obviously went wrong (IN YOUR MIND), so I tried to lighten things up, but once again (IN YOUR MIND), my efforts didn't work. My only suggestion is that you calm down, listen to Steve Miller for a while, and maybe rub some organic "relaxation" ointment from Trader Joe's on yr tum-tum, take a deep breath and GO SCREW YOURSELF, JACK-OFF! Whine to someone who gives a shit what your opinion is, okay?

No vote on this guy.

We don't need another lawyer in Kansas City politics.

Actually, Steve is a GREAT GUY!

He is qualified, successful and understands a lot about how government works. He can reach out to both Republicans and Democrats. I can't wait to vote for him!

Nothing is more screwed up than MoDot, and Miller did nothing to change it. KC is the economic engine of the State, and we end up subsidizing rural roads to nowhere, while metro roads and bridges fall into decay!!!

Where has Miller been while this was happening? Grossly unqualified, based on his past performance!!!'

I will support someone who has worked and not spent decades playing inside baseball at city hall. Also, he is from one of the few KC Catholic families that was not enamored with payday loan money, no matter how much it enriched the parish.
