TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR REFUSES TO STOP FOR QUESTION 1 VOTER ROADBLOCK!!!

Right now, let's take a look at the Kansas City toy train blowing off the outcome of a recent Kansas City election.

Checkit:

- Question 1 was approved by voters and mandated CITYWIDE approvalfor future streetcar construction in the future.

- Kansas City tax fighters are suing EVERYONE to uphold their election win and the streetcar railroading voters.

- Some KICK-ASS KC INSIDERS remind us that Prez Trump is unlikely to support the KC Streetcar whatsoever and so many grand plans for the future will unlikely afford federal funding that's mandated.

Still . . .

DESPITE ELECTION PUSH BACK AND LAWSUITS . . . THE KANSAS CITY STREETCAR MOVES FORWARD!!!

    1. To be fair, remember that the streetcar election won before that. The question is really about timing and standing.

Sadly, looks like another item that will have to go before a judge.

  2. Creation of these special districts and agencies is nothing more than then having opportunities for decisions about tax money or development "incentives" to take place out of public view and accountability for the benefit of insiders and small special-interest advocates, as is the case for the "Streetcar Authority". These opportunities are created by the state legislature and are quickly expanded and even abused, as is the case of the TDD statute.
KCMO is full of these extra-governmental operations like PortKC, the Industrial Expansion Authority, and all the rest where tax dollars that could flow into the general fund and used for actual city services are diverted for grandiose projects, fads, or well-paying jobs for selected insiders, family, and friends.
Legally these agencies and this election may be beyond the reach of most KCMO residents and voters and they should be unhappy about it.

  5. Is there federal money for transportation and infrastructure projects to be given out? Yes. Is the priority rebuilding and repairing hurricane and flood damaged roadsa nd bridges in Texas and Florida or expanding a toy train tourist ride in Kansas City? You decide.Or rather, trump will decide for you all.

  7. 7:53. Thanks for insight. How does the Port Authority operate such that Mike Burke was able to pull $4,000,000 out of it. Our Missouri River commerce is near non-existent. Berkeley Park is finally moving. Buried toxic waste has been ignored.
