Holy shit, let's hire an insider but to be politically correct let's hire a female.20 years experience in one system really means I haven't learned anything new in 20 years. New bloodlines are needed in executive positions in government.. New ideas

they'll accuse her of being a racist when she cracks the whip, she obviously knows nothing about killa city. And she may have been the only one that applied for the job too

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Are they going to continue to allow corrections officers to smuggle drugs and cell phones into the jail to sell to prisoners? That has been a common practice at the jail.

Time will tell if she has what it takes or not. Dealing with juveniles and whats in the cages at 13th and Cherry are two different things. But one does have to question if she will be the scrapgoat whose career will go down in flames when she is given no money to fix the issues. Corrections Director Joe Piccinini should be fired and replaced since in the end all this crap is really his fault.

So easy to spout ignorance as is well displayed by most of these comments. Such a dysfunctional set of replies.

Actually, Diana will do an exceptional job. She is very qualified, and highly intelligent. And mind you, this is coming from her ex-husband... Congrats Di.

Typical Jackson County, just adding more management, or to make this hire did Frank finally fire somebody over this cluster fuck crisis?

Her first official directive will include installing tampon dispensers in the female facilities and reducing County liability by holding instructional classes with male guards on how to use a condom.

How is Frank White working for you ?

Best of luck to her, but she's the meat in an "Incompetence Sandwich", with thick slices of it above and below her.

Where is Rex Tarwater? Wasn't he the deputy director at the jail? What about the two new guys they brought in last year who were supposed to be key hires at the jail? My guess is this is an add to staff.

She is not qualified to to do this job. She is very racist and has no compassion what so ever for people!!! She will destroy the jail as she has done with other programs that she has been with!!

She can't handle it. She doesn't stay at a position long enough, only to wreck havoc!
