Kansas City River Market Parking Crackdown Continues With High-Priced Meters

Follow-up from an earlier TKC report . . . Check new tech looking to dissuade Kansas City drivers from lingering too long in this local destination that has become an auto nightmare. Take a look:

You are now required to pay for parking along some streets in the River Market

My solution is that I no longer shop and dine in the River Market neighborhood.

When will the Plaza get them?

The meters are needed during the day. The parking problems are nights and weekends. City Hall is totally out of touch again.

3:28 said it best and the path I follow now. The city has killed the City Market area.

Damn! I guess I be buying my soy sprouts and chinese food at HiVee - outside the city limits, of course.

Any viable business in the River Market area better find new digs soon. Customers will be staying away in droves.

Nah. False narrative delivered by a moron with no business acumen. The Market will be fine.

Yet another reason to stay north of the river.
