TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! DESPITE KANSAS CITY ANGST, INSIDER EXPLAINS WHY INDIAN CREEK TRAIL SUSPECT IS NOT CLASSIFIED AS HATE CRIME SERIAL KILLER!!! YET.

Outrage in the aftermath of South Kansas City killings and a recent arrest continues. Despite impressive investigative work by the KCPD in capturing a suspect based on surveillance footage and DNA, there's disappointment in the MSM description of the ALLEGED killer.

Let's forgo the obvious: There must be a trial to determine guilt and the American justice system presumes innocence. That's a given and an elementary fact - Anyone who ignores it shouldn't be taken seriously.

However, frustration with the media is clear and locals want to talk race and homicide count . . .

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY WANTS THE INDIAN CREEK MURDER SUSPECT DEFINED AS A HATE CRIME SERIAL KILLER!!!

Today, we talked to a local media insider about this, here's the quote on the topic:

"It seemed like at least a dozen calls came into the station today asking us to call the homicides out as hate crimes. A few also wanted to know why he wasn't being ID'd as a serial killer . . . The problem is, had we done that there would have been even more calls. Authorities warned us not to do use those terms and told us why that wasn't accurate . . ."

First up, the question of hate crime . . .

Like it or not, for now, a strict interpretation of the Federal definition of hate crime doesn't fit these alleged series of murders. Hate crime laws in the United States are intended to protect against bias crimes motivated by enmity or animus against a protected class of persons. What is a "protected class" according to U.S. law???

"Protected class: The groups protected from discrimination by law. These groups include men and women on the basis of sex; any group which shares a common race, religion, color, or national origin; people over 40; and people with physical or mental handicaps. Every U.S. citizen is a member of some protected class, and is entitled to the benefits of protection. However, the hate crime laws were initially passed to correct a history of unfavorable treatment of minority group members and women."

Now, as always, laws change and Missouri has considered violence specifically targeting police as hate crime. But for now, again like it or not, the targeting of white dudes is RARELY defined as a hate crime. This case COULD be a landmark in changing this practice.

The topic of serial killing is much more easily addressed and our media insider note guidance from the feds on this topic:

In 1998, a federal law was passed by the United States Congress, titled: Protection of Children from Sexual Predator Act of 1998 (Title 18, United States Code, Chapter 51, and Section 1111). This law includes a definition of serial killings:

The term ‘serial killings’ means a series of THREE MORE MORE KILLINGS, not less than one of which was committed within the United States, having common characteristics such as to suggest the reasonable possibility that the crimes were committed by the same actor or actors.

Right now, the Indian Creek Trail murder suspect is only charged with TWO MURDERS and police are asking the community for more info on the slayings. If he's charged in one more killing, he would then fit the definition of a serial killer.

HOWEVER . . . The Brit Daily Mail isn't holding back in their reporting. Check today's headline:

'They didn't see it coming': 'Boast' of suspected black Missouri serial killer, 22, 'who stalked and murdered middle-aged white men and was finally caught when he shot his fifth victim in daylight on a city street'

And so, we put it to our blog community . . .

ARE THESE DEFINITIONS TOO RIGID?!? SHOULD KANSAS CITY MEDIA DEFY AUTHORITIES AND CALL THE ALLEGED INDIAN CREEK TRAIL PERPETRATOR A SERIAL KILLER HATE CRIME SUSPECT?!?

You decide . . .

    1. Definitely hate crimes, definitely a serial killer. Media has an obligation to inform the public. They are not doing that when they use coded language.

    2. Where is all this concern over Kansas City murders when 100 people have been killed. Do these same people crying about the definitions even care when children are murdered? Obviously not.

    3. ^^^^ Shut it snowflake. There is national news when children are shot in KC and this is also national news. Most people can hold more than two ideas in their head at the same time. Even if you can't. Sorry.

  2. Turns out we need protecting from the protected class.

  4. He has the right to a speedy trial. Let's get it done quickly so we can call him GUILTY and then debate the death penalty.

4:47, There is more outrage when white men are killed. That's just a fact. Call it a corollary of the "Missing White Woman" syndrome.

Some of the commenters here (people like 4:51)actually cheer when a black man, or woman, is killed. This even applied to the black police man who was killed recently.

These killings are a consequence of your ongoing racial strife.

There is no effort here to do anything about this racial strife, not by Tony or his denizens.

I am sorry that this happened, but I am not surprised.

    1. Byron, that is because white lives matter. They really do. So people are outraged. On the other hand...

  6. Police are a protected class already to have a hate crime statute for cops could only bring more resentment towards the protect and serve the ruling class demographic.

  9. So, the opposite of love is hate now is it? I'm glad we have sociologist professers and psychology majors giving a play by play tonight. Who else is on the panel.

  10. How is it that so many can't follow a simple explanation as to why this is not a serial killer, by definition, at this time. Likewise, that while hateful, it cannot legally be called a hate crime. Nothing to see here--except for some that either cannot read or cannot understand what they read.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Maybe because of the central absurdity and built-in double standard of the hate crime concept.

    2. When Jean Petersucker Baker agrees to his probation and he walks free, someone is going to shoot him. Would that be a hate crime? Of course.

      Delete
  11. It will be when they charge him with the other three, the news clearly said when he shot the fifth guy in broad daylight. He's a serial killer and it's a hate crime, they're to scared to say it right now.

  12. When people have made up their minds a logical explanation is not going to persuade them.

  22. When a black man targets a white man more than once for murder it's a hate crime. If a white man had done the same here to a black man you can bet your last dollar they would be protesting in the streets calling it a hate crime. That other black man who robbed and killed those white people in southern Kansas City all in two hour or less time should be charged with a hate crime. And 7:08 you and Byron are both fools because it is all about color. You think BLM isn't about color? Go start a WLM movement and see how long you get away with it.
