  11. I'm a hockey fan, and that part of me would love to have NHL at Sprint Center. I'd likely attend frequently. But in reality, I don't see the market in the KC area sustaining it; not with the steep ticket prices that is common in the NHL. And of course, there's what it costs to park by Sprint (which I would, for that, just park at 3rd & Grand and use the Street Car - which is handy for just that purpose).

Take a look at any NHL team, and look at the typical ticket prices. I don't know if KC would fill Sprint for 41 games per year; including on work-nights.

We have the Mavericks in Independence, which is pretty affordable - and to me pretty good hockey, and they typically come close to filling the arena there. That means that the Mavericks "fill a niche market" in KC for hockey. I'd think it makes more sense to go with that for hockey in KC - from a "business sense" standpoint.

And yes, I just admitted that I am a hockey fan, and use the Street Car. Feel free to bombard with me hate mail.
