KANSAS CITY OVERNIGHT FLOODING REDUX AS CITY HALL HIDES BEHIND AUGUST GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE DELUGE!!!

First word from our blog community today on the narrative that locals will be sold regarding the constant flooding this month . . .

12TH & OAK POLITICOS ARE PREPARED TO BLAME "HISTORIC" AUGUST RAIN FOR THE CONSTANT FLOODING DESPITE VERY LITTLE GO BOND CASH WORK ON BUSTED KCMO WATER INFRASTRUCTURE!!!

That's right . . . It's big oil and not years of neglect that creates EPIC streams in local streets almost every time it rains just a bit.

To be fair, TV weather newsies are backing up this thesis as the note that we're far beyond our rain totals for the month . . . And this fact of life may or many not reveal why KCMO can't maintain power or streets after most storms.

Check the links . . .

KSHB: Flash flooding causes problems in KC metro area

KMBC: FLOOD EMERGENCY ISSUED FOR KANSAS CITY

KCTV5: Kansas City police, fire crews requesting voluntary evacuations near Indian Creek due to flooding

Fox4: Full list of roads closed in KCMO due to flooding

You decide . . .

  2. Hilarious that they are replacing sewer lines in the Southeast area of the city where almost half the houses are abandoned.

  5. As usual lyin cheatin crooked sLIE is no where to be found, he could give a shit less about the rest of the city, it's his toy train, hotel and airport that has his maximum attention. Historically he has ran this city this way, focus on what he wants not what we want. He's in a state of shock that people have actually started demanding the bare necessities to survive in killa city. He can't handle the day to day work load. because sLIE actually only works at most two days a week. He has been shirking his duties just like forte did because he is in over his head and can't handle it. Not the gravy job he signed up for any more is it sLIE?

  6. sLIE don't care about that testament to what beautiful and amazing things whitey has built called the plaza, he wants the only attraction to killa city gone so he can get whitey out of his city. Ask yourself sLIE before you tear down another thing in this town, what will the blacks put back in this town? What have the blacks done for this city? NOTHING, because without whitey nothing gets done, he's too chicken shit to admit it. The blacks have their freedom and what has it gotten us? Death, destruction and mayhem, atta boy sLIE

  7. Need a new airport and toy train? How about just improving basic city services first?

  8. My family has lived on this land south of K.C. since the 1840s, and never has the flooding covered so much area as it did - twice - this summer. All you global warming climate change deniers should put your money where your mouth is and buy up all the low-lying land and build your houses there. Also invest in hip waders and ladders. You're going to need them.

  9. Climate change. This is exactly what the climate models predicted: more and much more intense storms.

  10. I hate to be a dick here but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know not to build in a flood zone. Just because somebody bought bottom land cheap doesn't mean you can or should build on it. Just sayin

  13. The flooding in South KC is not Sly's fault but it is the fault of 267 campaign contributors from Johnson County. This is why the media is really is so silent on why we are not assigning blame because the paving of Johnson County. The lack of flood control in Johnson County. Remember the history of "Lakes" by Tom Leathers.

  17. Now is the time to sell and move to higher ground And the concrete run off will make the rivers and streams rise faster. The storm systems are passing over the metro more often. They usually go to the North or the South.

  19. If you look at weather patterns dating back 2,000 years- you will find we are actually in Global Cooling era. This can be directly attributed to the sun burning out at a moderate level- and a shift in our universe' parabolic diametric skewed oblong axis from a 4-D perspective. Weather and weather functions are not a part of this.
Rather- the weather is part of PRNG programs- if you will- that have come to fruition.
Dealing with flooding should alert the KC authorities to this:
Einstein says the definition of Insanity is to do the same thing and expect different results. As long as KC does nothing about the flooding and blames the weather and expects a different outcome- they will be called Insane should they be judged by Einstein.
Look at the Flood projects of the 80's with Bendix and 85th and Prospect, Blue River Road and youbwill see success like Plaza flood control.
These 1 in 100 year floods we have had 3 in one month point to some bad math. They can't even predict the weather 3 days before an Eclipse.
Call the Corps of Engineers and make a lake... why fight it?

  22. 62% of people polled think the weather is a random product. 56% of Scientists polled said weather is random and also that we lack data to accurately predict weather with 100% certainty.
It seems to me we are do one more flood by October to achieve Nostradamus' prediction for Kansas City....

  23. We're just having a rare rainy summer. Usually by this part of August, everybody has burned lawns. We're still mowing weekly!

And yes, THE PAVING of the entire Johnson County causes this, and
    has since the 1970's.

KCPT documentary in the early 90's called "Blue River Blues" outlined this
    problem.
Good luck trying to find it.

  24. "My family has lived on this land south of K.C. since the 1840s, and never has the flooding covered so much area as it did - twice - this summer."

Ummmmm, was the surrounding land as full of subdivisions and paving in 1840 as it is now? Didn't think so.

  25. Do you know why the French quarter in New Orleans is located where it is? Because the local Indians told the French that that area didn't flood during annual heavy rains
Moral of the story? Don't buy a house where it floods

  26. Plenty of awful flood stories are in opks too, not just kcmo. Thank god the family was finally rescued from their roof! Thank god they rescued that lady who's car rammed into a tree and she was stuck in a tree. I wonder why private citizens had to rescue the family? Don't they know how to use helicopters for rescue? I'm just glad some Good Samaritans came along.

  27. Yeah 26.5" inches of rain since the end of June is a "spring shower" according to esteemed meteorologist Sonny Botello.
