Community still feels safe after Officer's death in Westport
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It's been almost week since Thomas Orr, 30, was shot and killed Sunday night at Californos in Westport. Orr, who was off duty at the time, was an innocent bystander. Today we talked to Westport patrons who say they feel safe.
Yeah, I did a double-take at that headline. The hell.
ReplyDeleteI think his off-duty status made the difference in the case. There have been several shootings in Westport this year, but people go there. Plus, when you look at his memorial, etc., it was practically non-existent compared to the officer that was killed in Clinton a couple weeks ago.

^^So. I go to Westport all the time. I always feel safe. I'm not scared. Then again I'm not an aged shut-in who never goes anywhere, and feels scared going to the mailbox.
