TKC QUESTION: WILL CITY HALL PUSHING KANSAS CITY PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT AGAINST PREZ TRUMP SAVE THE PLANET?!?

In addition to so many development schemes and the constant threat of violent crime this Summer, Mayor Sly and some members of the City Council have found a way to save the planet.

Maybe.

Here's the damage . . .

KSHB: City Council continues to move forward on a resolution reaffirming the city’s support for the Paris Climate Agreement to fight climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The City Council Finance and Governance Committee approved the measure this week . . . The move by City Council comes just over a month after President Donald Trump announced that the United States would be pulling out from the international climate agreement.

While today was kinda cool, there's still fear that the huge iceberg that broke off Antarctica could kill us all . . . OR maybe provide more reliable Northland crossing than the currently old and busted Broadway/O'Neil Bridge.

You decide . . .

Dr Martin O’Leary, a Swansea University glaciologist and member of the MIDAS project team, said of the recent calving:

“Although this is a natural event, and we’re not aware of any link to human-induced climate change, this puts the ice shelf in a very vulnerable position. This is the furthest back that the ice front has been in recorded history. We’re going to be watching very carefully for signs that the rest of the shelf is becoming unstable.”

Always remember that journalists went into journalism mostly because STEM courses were too hard. Only after they graduate J-School do they become experts in everything.

@8:10pm
Yes they're all going back to the little towns in Nebraska and Kansas that they came from to make their marks in the big big city.
With that streetcar and a couple new restaurants on Main Street, the frantic pace in downtown KCMO is just too much!
And the millions of tourists!
And barista money can really buy only so much craft beer and cold brew coffee.
As long as the rural areas have wi fi the social media life can follow.
So much for the "creative economy".
What's next from the futurist book and lecture circuit salesmen?

Well now! As significant as KC is as a global superpower I am sure people around the world are taking notice. Now, if there was just a commitment from KC on violent crime.

Paris accord support is a no loose deal for city. How do determine success or failure? KCMO winning, lol!
