Kansas City Starts Paying Out EPIC EMT Overtime Lawsuit Damages This Week



Just a bit of longstanding biz that still impacts the local budget . . .

Not so long ago Kansas City reached a $1.9 million settlement in an overtime battle with EMTs but they never payed out.

This week the money starts hitting the streets with an ordinance approving the first $79K with MUCH MORE to follow . . .

Actually the ambulance company was already in the fire Union four years prior to that and you are correct the city never should have taken over the ambulance company because the ambulance company was actually making money by having a world-renowned EMT and medic school and by doing non-emergency long-distance transfers between hospitals
