Jackson County Fights Doggie Cruelty

Tough allegation here as the courthouse, at least, has a solid record of protecting local canines. Checkit:

Two charged with abuse of dog who began seizing and shaking when finally freed from chain

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two Kansas City residents have been charged with felony and misdemeanor animal abuse in connection with an injured dog known as "King," rescued by animal control officers in January 2017. Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker charged Andre Christopher Brown, 31, with Animal Abuse by Torture and/or Mutilation, a Class E felony, and Animal Abuse, a misdemeanor.
