TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY VOTER SUPPRESSION: COMPLAINTS EMERGE OVER STREETCAR BALLOT DELAYS AND REJECTIONS!!!

In 2014, Kansas City voters overwhelmingly rejected streetcar expansion in the midst of construction delays crippling Downtown biz and because the bus is a far more effective and flexible mode of public transit.

Fast forward to the current election where streetcar extension supporters have revered back to a secret ballot tactics that carefully selects a smaller voting pool (gerrymandering) and has made the election process far more cumbersome and difficult than simply showing up to the ballot to cast a vote.

However . . .

Complaints posted throughout social media this week reveal voter confusion and frustration with this difficult voting process.

A voter patiently waiting by his mailbox noted: "Where are the streetcar ballots? They were said to have been mailed out on the 20th. We have not received ours and had our ballots/proof of voters registration sent off way before the deadline. Anyone else get theirs?"

Now that the Stalinist sounding "voter application deadline" has closed . . . Kansas City Insiders are learning of several locals who were rejected for faulty paper work despite their residence within district lines. MSM missed a great many ballot requests rejected during the recent voter request window.

To wit . . .

THE RIGGED TOY TRAIN STREETCAR BALLOT CONFRONTS INCREASED COMPLAINTS FROM RESIDENTS DISENFRANCHISED BY THE MULTI-STEP VOTING PROCESS THAT SMACKS OF VOTER SUPPRESSION!!!

And just so we're clear that this isn't just TKC on rant . . . Top ranking Missouri officials have also voiced their concern with TDD corruption.

Example . . .

Auditor: Missouri's taxing district law allows unethical practices, poor oversight

And so, as the streetcar authority shifts cash around, buys more vehicles thanks to constant breakdowns and plans their deceitful expansion . . . There's a growing case against a rigged process that actively seeks to exclude as many voters as possible from a controversial Kansas City transit endeavor that mostly benefits politicos, consultants and developers.

You decide . . .

    1. Missouri is mostly at fault here, their lax taxing district laws paved the way for this kind of corruption and if locals were smart they would look to state level reform to stop the streetcar in its tracks. The only way that this kind of thing stops is by the Missouri Legislature because KC will use this over and over again until KC is bankrupt.

    2. There aren't enough police in Kansas City to protect the streetcar from the plaza to downtown. I think they should build it because it will finally bring some reality to the city and allow the thugs better access to all the luxury condos downtown. Why not make midtown a little safer by spreading our problems around?

  2. Where's the countdown to a vitriolic and angry post from one of the streetcar supporters? Usually their insults are pretty funny!

  9. The vote is invalid. A 5 step process on a single issue is insane. The Jackson County judge should be overturned.

  10. Trolley Follies

The Kansas City streetcar, was projected to carry nearly 3,200 weekday riders at fares of $1.50 a ride. So the city was elated when ridership in the first couple of months was more than 6,000 trips per weekday. What they didn’t mention was that the rides were free, not $1.50. Judging by Atlanta’s experience, raising the fares to $1 would reduce ridership by 58 percent; raising them to $1.50 would reduce it even more.

  11. ^^^^^^^^^BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Keep trying basement boy and keep chasing that whale ahab...

More desperation coming from this guy: http://guardianksmo.blogspot.com/

Local A-listers such Marvel's Antman star Paul Rudd and actor Rob Riggle have moved out of town and their mom's basements to make something of themselves as well as millions of dollars. And now they are back in town this weekend to help other people with the Big Slick charity event.

In the meantime, no-lister Tony Botello continues to accomplish nothing with his life, helping no one and continuing to be a brokeass failure.

Stick to the titty pics basement boy, it's what you do best. In the meantime, real KC Streetcar news here:

Have these fools never walked down Main St. at night. Good luck on that Trolley. Running it until midnight would a a disaster.

  19. If Missouri wanted to clean up taxes they would fix the sales tax mess. The idea that you can drive across the metro and pay a half dozen different sales tax rates is bullshit. Then you have these sales tax free days and folks are dumb enough to believe that they are not paying for them.
