Just take a picture of the Ramada Hotel theft over to all those apartments and duplexes behind it and you will soon find the thief.

The golden ghetto is getting gravel streets? Awesome. Chip and seal is a garbage "fix" that doesn't do anything. Asphalt streets minimally wear from mechanical action. Adding a "wear surface" in the form of a gravel surface does literally nothing to extend the life of the streets. Cracks, the major problem with streets, come right through the chip and seal surface allowing water to get into the subgrade, which causes the problems we see on the surface.

The bigger issues are that gravel surface (the "chip") dramatically reduce the comfort level of the street. They are noisy, dusty (even with low dust chip), messy, dangerous for bicyclists (loose surface material), and - if in a neighborhood with no sidewalks - very difficult to push a stroller or other hard-wheeled pedestrian device on.

Chip and seal is used by the Street Departments to say "looks we're 'improving' streets", "look how many miles of streets have been 'repaired'" even though they're merely mismanaging money for appropriate street repairs with lower "visibility".

Someone got shot in westport last night and there's no story on here about it? Figured our friendly neighborhood taco vendor would be all over it.

@11:37 - Only KSHB? Every local station is a mindless barrage of top-story weather with hype-crime stories with commercials pretending to be news stories in-between LOTS of commercials. There's nobody with half a brain or two balls left in local TV journalism.

@FTN, man, TKC doesn't disguise the source of the pics. Just go there and find the rest of the shoot, nip freed or not.
