DeleteThe report is absolute nonsense. Sure there's a disparity in traffic stops by race and probably by ethnicity as well. There's also the same disparity in arrests and convictions for other, more serious crimes. The report does not even try to control for confounding factors, for instance the reason for the stop, the age and make of the vehicle, the result of the stop and whether the officer could even determine the race or ethnicity of the driver before he made the traffic stop. (Years back, New Jersey investigators did an in person inspection of a roadway on which cops were pulling over many more black drivers than white drivers. The investigators found out that in the vast majority of cases, it was impossible to determine the race of the driver before the stop.) Ignore this report until they capture enough information about each stop to prove a racial animus at work.

ReplyDeleteBlacks will never, in our lifetimes, be intellectually equal to Whites or Asians. Their gene pool, for centuries, has placed an emphasis on violence and an increased fight-or-flight response that was needed for survival on the African plains. Modern culture has done nothing to change this.....the black community shows far more appreciation for an athlete or a rapper or even a common street-corner criminal than they do a Scientist, a Physician or an Explorer. THE BLACK COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE HAS NO DESIRE TO ADVANCE BEYOND THEIR CURRENT SITUATION AND THEREFORE HAS PUT NO EFFORT FORTH TO CHANGE WHAT MAKES THEM WHAT THEY ARE.
