Mayor Sly And KCPD Knock Doors Amid Kansas City Homicide Spike 2017

More deets on tonight's publicity stunt to distract from most of Mayor Sly's efforts directed toward his development agenda. Take a look:

Police officers, mayor and other city leaders door-knock to give crime prevention tips

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - If you see police officers door-knocking in your neighborhood this summer, don't be alarmed. They're just trying to inform people about crime prevention tips and let them know the status of crime in their neighborhood. They also want to talk with residents about block and neighborhood watch information.

  1. It'd be shits, grins and giggles if somebody mistook them for an intruder.and shot them. On the other hand it might send some folks scramblin' having a cop knock on their door. They should carry some blank search warrants with them.

  2. Good! Come on in to my neighborhood. I make great homemade donuts.. Just give me a heads up and I will have them hot and fresh with coffee to go to say thank you for all you do.... Now what? They risk their lives to keep us safe. They have families too. Not all are bad. Most care. Just ask them. No one ever just ask them.

  3. I'm sure in a lot of places they will be about as welcomed as a turd in the swimming pool.

  4. Chlorine
They call it bleach. It disinfects. Take it out, clean, refill and keep going....

  5. Stop putting down good police officers.

  6. Bad people are everywhere. Look around you. Most are good. Bad people can hide behind a badge and can be in office. I still look for for good and the American way...corny I know. The comic book world I live in believes in justice. The Amendments hold truth to something. Even bigots who will ram rod me in secs....Good cops bands cops.... We are hurting. This helps. My door is open. Them, i don't know. You do your jobs well....keep doing it. I support the guys and gals in blue. Don't let the bad guys win....here they come......!

  7. More feeeeeel good bullshit from City Hall.

This isn't going to do anything other than take officers off of patrol.

I bet a majority of the officers will tell you it's a waste of time for them.

Hard hitting law enforcement with hard hitting prosecutions is what will impress the citizens living in Kansas City.

  8. This won't solve or do anything to help. But hey, at least the mayor took an hour out of his day to sound concerned, this is I believe his first acknowledgement about crime in at least three months

  9. Posturing instead of doing, here is a tip they can use- get a new mayor and have new black leaders say children we need to change our ways. Also have business elite do way more here to advance healthier future for black community. We count around 20 billionaires in kc- what are they waiting for.

  11. It did not really say what neighbourhood. I would assume somewhere in the hood. Go heavily armed. This is a joke, right?

  12. I thought KCPD said our city was safe

  13. Ever walk up to an officer in Blue and just sa Thank you for all you do? I do all the time. Guards and all. When you talk to them face to face...you get honest answers. Like it or not. Good ones assholes they are everywhere...look around you. I appreciate all you do. I do care. This poor folk is glad to see you.. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. If you over step your bounds...you are human and must abide by the laws you uphold?!? Training Days in KC, huh...

  14. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I knew most of the pants-shitting geezers who populate this blog would have a problem with it.

  16. Like duh....tell KCPD we already know crime is high and the murder rate is through the roof.
The question is does KCPD know?

  17. Try asking a real officer. Not office fluff. The men and women out there, not thi stuff. They know. Will you listen? The line has been drawn...quit digging it deeper into the ground. Help, or get out of the way. Not everyone can do their job...would you?

  18. They don't need to make friends, they need to star shooting some hood rats. Force is the only thing they understand. If the fucking KCPD isn't up to it, fire them and get some real cops.

    1. We have the cops to do it, but Zimmerman is a heavy handed prick. Someone needs to fire that skinny assed bitch lawyer too. Since she came the department has become a fucking shit hole. She hates cops and the work we do. Fuck her, hopefully the next chief fires her.

  19. Criminals will be dealt with. White collar and blue collar. Evil is evil. The law will be enforced accordingly. There is real talk and real life. It is a job done by the few. The not so glamorous is paperwork which has to get done. That's real. Besides knocking heads to the ground and handcuffs. Knees to the back. Spread eagle. The hardware is live, gritty, and in your face personal. They want to go home to their families, so yeah, they know what to do and the law is important. You know? They made a lot of COPS in KC. Maybe they should come back more often. Feel better.

  20. Yes, maam this here is officer friendly reminding you folks not to be acting like boons and killing each other and shit over the holiday. Y'all go to the park, have some chicken and melon and leave that gin alone.

    ...homicides solved! Uh huh!

  21. Please.

Get real Sly. You know who the criminals are and you're a coward to remain silent. You know who commits crimes against people and who's doing the killing. How many more killings will it take?

How about going to the barber shops and ask them who's doing the crime and then follow up on the information?

    Get real.
