KANSAS CITY WESTSIDE INFERNO: SOUTHWEST BOULEVARD BURNS!!!

Kansas City burning sensation top story today . . .

Normally, we try not to blog fires because there's really nothing to debate on the topic.

However, this 3-Alarm blaze is nearby, stalled us in traffic and will most likely pave the way for more hipster luxury housing subsidized by City Hall.

Here's the best local look . . .

KCTV5: Massive fire erupts at furniture warehouse on Southwest Boulevard

Just a few quick facts on the topic . . .

- The smoke from this blaze stretched across the metro for miles . . .

- A few nearby buildings caught fire but were quickly extinguished . . .

- Local history buffs remind us this is near the site where 5 firefighters were killed fighting a blaze in the 50s.

THANKS TO SOME OF OUR BLOG COMMUNITY DENIZENS FOR SENDING PHOTOS!!!

Take a look:

Hey, who's this Andy Botello that was interviewed by tv5 just now on his patio, a few blocks from the Blvd. fire scene? T's bro, cuz, uncle....hmmmm?

Saw the smoke from the Plaza.

Looked pretty bad.

I'm comforted by all of the the hot models covering the disaster. They are sexy and that gives me hope.

And being another slow news Tuesday in the big city 3 out of 4 local TV stations have been covering it burning wall to burning wall except of course for the network evening news. Assholes @ 41 even had the audacity to preempt Jeopardy so douchebag Christa could get more facetime. It's a fukking warehouse for Christs sake.

^^^ Don't worry Gramps, your Jeopardy will be on tomorrow.

Too bad it wasn't full of millenials

^^^ Stupid.

Glad there was no one hurt.

Was Christa naked? She's a definite MILF!!!!!!!!!

Nary a mention of the toxic fumes from the flame retardants in the polyurethane furniture in any report.

Breath deep talking heads.

Once you say there's a fire on Southwest Boulevard, that covers the situation. Who needs to know all the details? Gary Amble even tied the fire into the (incomplete) weather report.

No doubt the work of ISIS!!

They hate us for our furniture.

8:18--- Gary Gayzak beats that with saying that the fire would not delay the start of tonight's Royals game. Watching he and Christa constantly interrupt each other for face time was a hoot.

I hope nobody was hurt

9:63-----Nah, Gary and Christa are fine.
