Witness The Great Kansas City Tire Fire!!!

Today's local landmarks that once again reveals this town is turning into a bit of a dump. Take a peek:

Smoke from tire fire visible across Kansas City metro area

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Officials say the black smoke visible across the Kansas City metro area was caused by a tire fire near 13th and Jackson. The fire was put out by about 5:30 p.m. People reported seeing the smoke as far as Liberty.

Old used tires make some nasty smoke when they burn and damn hard to put out.

Ya,but nothing makes for a better tasting smoked butt roast.

If Mayor Sly would do what most cities do he would enforce the law and have the tires hauled away as proscribed by law. But he probably thinks that the mosquitoes that bred in the tires are necessary for a first class city.
