The Star is having more problems with its digital subscription service and loyal Kansas City area readers attempting to sign up for the paper via the Internets have been turned away in drovers. So much so, that they're sending word our way . . .
The Kansas City Star even developed a really sad form letter for their digital woes.

Highlight from the text . . .
Dear Subscriber,
"You may have received an email from us regarding issues with your subscription renewal. Please disregard this email if it was received from The Kansas City Star stating your digital subscription failed to renew. This was due to an error on our part in setting up testing with our new digital subscription platform. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding."
"Again, no further action is needed on your end and you can continue to enjoy access to your account without interruption. The new platform we are putting in place will come with new features in the weeks ahead."

ReplyDeleteI heard they were turning the glass building into a condo so we can finally walk to bars again without be fucked with by the police.
ReplyDeleteA newspaper's most fundamental element is it's veracity. Can they be believed? It starts with a subscriber believing that the newspaper will be delivered regularly once the customer pays for the service. The Star fails this test. It doesn't matter whether hard working reporters and editors publish great, eye-opening stories if those efforts never reach the reader.
