Missouri & Kansas TrumpCare Fight Preview

Just a bit of insight into the inevitable repeal of most of the important parts of Prez Obama's plan from a local perspective. Take a look:

Here's How Kansas And Missouri Reps Are Likely To Vote Today On GOP Health Care Bill

The House of Representatives is expected to vote Thursday on the American Health Care Act, touted by the GOP and President Donald Trump as a better alternative to President Obama's signature health care effort, the Affordable Care Act. The bill was previously withdrawn from a vote in March after the GOP failed to garner enough support from both conservative and moderate Republicans.

  1. At least Kansas republicans understand that disabled and elderly people typically do not have resources to contribute to the corporations who pay them to legislate so access to medical care needs to be cut off from those people so they can die off. The insurance and medical corporation profits must be protected. At least middle class people have assets that can be seized by the courts and sold for corporate profit if these middle class people decide they need medical care. And the representatives and senators have the best medical coverage for themselves and their family that taxpayer money can buy so it won't effect them in the least. Stupid democrats think every life has some value. Obviously since the repubs won most of the elections, most American people believe that money is much more important than human life/suffering.

  5. Good update at 1:25pm on the kcur story, showing that Yoder voted yes.
KCUR out-reported the Kansas City STAR! Which still has not posted the local reps' votes.

  6. Holy cow. It's 2:07pm, and the Kansas City STAR still has not reported how Yoder and Cleaver voted!!!!!!!!
Not even posting a national feed story with those facts.

Maybe all the news staff is taking customer service calls about wet newspapers the past week?

  8. 3:19pm--when the STAR finally published Yoder's vote Yes.
Hour and 55 minutes behind KCUR!

I'm just glad the STAR is not a medical facility or doctor's group, covering an emergency!

  9. Government should be out of the health care delivery business.
