So how many TKC bloggers are ready to call the St. Joseph Hotline tomorrow morning 8:00-9:30 AM to complain about the MoDOT engineer there who does the stoplights?

Remember, the number is 8.1.6--3.6.4.--.6.8.6.8.

Tell your friends. Tell your neighbors.
His name is Joseph Turner. He's a "Traffic engineer" for MoDOT's St. Joseph office who times the lights on the Belt Highway

We need everyone to call that number to get on the air to KFEQ-AM 680 and voice your outrage over this person.
Tell local listeners that you demand he be fired for being a University of Missouri graduate, and for his attitudes towards the Downtown KC Street Car, Power & Light District, and his support of Mizzou sports programs.

Make it clear that you and those you know WILL NOT patronize St. Joseph until he is fired and stripped of his license.
Also make it clear that you will purchase fuel and license your car in Kansas, so as to not help fund MoDOT and Turner's traffic lights.

Those aren't valid reasons to fire someone.

@ Byron Funkhouser

You are the same people who who would "refuse to send your kids" to MU, and talk about refusing to patronize their athletic programs after all of the scandals and national embarrassment that the racial protests caused. Yet you have no problem with allowing some MU-graduate continue to be employed on the taxpayer dime, in a position directly responsible for your family's safety when driving on Missouri's highways.

If you believe that MU is academically deficient, wouldn't you be worried about what some MU engineer grad is doing when it comes to roads and bridges that you drive on?

Turner's office number at the MoDOT St. Joseph Office is 8.1.6.--3.8.7.--2.4.3.9

Call thus guy tomorrow morning and talk to him and after you do I guarantee you will be sick to your stomach and outraged enough that you will be calling your state reps in Jefferson City and joining the movement to have this guy fired and thrown in prison.

Just ask any other local in St. Joseph about this guy, and every single one of them will tell you the same thing. They all hate this guy and want him gone.

His name is Joseph Turner. He's been at the St. Joseph MoDOT office since 2012. Nobody liked him from day one. He synchronized the traffic lights on the Belt Highway in 2013. Nobody cares if it's working better and making it safer. Nobody likes Turner because he's one of these "technical" people. When the MU campus protests happened in 2015, all hell broke loose in St. Joseph. The people here started demanding that Turner be fired the day after all that happened on the Columbia campus. He owns a gray car with Mizzou personalized plates that say "TRAFIC". A whole lot of St Joe locals are pissed off by this. In late 2015, Turner spearheaded a project to change a bunch of lights to those with the blinking arrow for left turns. This enflamed locals even more, even though the local traffic cops like them.

Local news media has turned a deaf ear to all of the complaints and public outrage over Turner. That's why we are appealing to outside help to put this guy away and out of local taxpayer misery.

If you ever talk to Turner, he's one of these over-technical bureaucratic nerd types who always has an answer for everything. St Joe locals don't like or want someone like that, especially a product of a disgraced University, meddling with our affairs.

We need everyone to start ringing the phones off the hook not only during tomorrow's call in show but also to MoDOT St. Joe office and their headquarters.

Joseph Turner has spent 5 years pissing off the taxpaying public of St. Joseph and Northwest Missouri by just the very nature of who he is, where he comes from, and what he's done in St. Joseph with the traffic lights and road signs.

Some of you people are HYPOCRITES

How can you say in another discussion on this blog that you are against sending your kids to MU. But you are NOT against people who COME FROM MU?

Missouri state government has thousands of Mizzou grads like this traffic guy. Why are you not against him? He's a product of what you speak out against.

With a little effort, the Star could find out what happened to the guy who shot Palermo and his friend. One hopes his life was ruined as well, but more likely the only consequence of ruining Palermo's life was a couple years in jail.
