Kansas City Homicide #37: Shooting Victim Dies After Gunfire Near Northland Zona Rosa

The latest local murder is counted across the bridge and among the nicer suburban streets near a quasi-luxury entertainment district that has grown increasingly dangerous over the past few years.

Fox4: A man shot in a neighborhood near Zona Rosa on Monday who was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries has died, police said Tuesday. The crime scene is near NW 86th and North Rhode Avenue. Neighbors say around 5:30 p.m. Monday that they heard multiple gunshots, and moments later they saw paramedics roll a man out of a house on a stretcher.

There is one suspect in custody as the homicide investigation continues . . . This is the 37th homicide this year compared to 34 at this time last year for an overall 60% murder increase over the past 3 years according to a search firm looking for the next Chief of Police.
