The AdHoc Group Against Crime marked it’s 40th Anniversary night as its founder celebrated his 85th birthday.

And while Kansas City confronts another homicide spike at the outset of warmer weather, there's always a great deal of criticism about local violence but very few people offering any solutions or sacrificing their time to get involved.

  2. And Brooks is on the Board of Police Commissioners that oversee a "public safety" regime that regularly suffers around 10 homicides every month of the year. 127 in 2016 and 38 so far in 2017.
    Ten murders a month and counseling victims' families.
    Looks like a perpetual motion machine!

  4. really a sorry shame. He is a good man with good intentions but just like so many others, he can't quite get to the real issues at hand.
