ArtsKC, the regional arts council, on Monday announced a new president and CEO: Dana Knapp. Since January 1, 2017, Knapp has served as the interim leader of ArtsKC, a nonprofit arts organization that "promotes, supports and advocates for the arts across a five-county region." She was selected after a national search.

Investigators still have not released Darby's cause of death, but his brother shared on Monday the emotions his family has felt since the tragedy.

Attorney General Derek Schmidt has asked Kansas City, Kansas police for more investigative material surrounding the death of a boy last year on a water slide. Schmidt said in a statement Monday that his office is still reviewing the case and that he didn't know when the inquiry would conclude.
