Comedy Genius One Of Our Own AJ Finney At Stanfords
AJ Finney started his young career at Stanfords in Westport in the early 2000's. One thing that made Finney stand out was his ability to change his material every few months. Most young comics work on their one hour for a couple years and tend to repeat it on stage for a couple more with few changes til it feels comfortable. AJ was on it from the start.
Finney moved to Denver a few years ago, where he hooked up comedy star TJ Miller. TJ of Silicon Valley fame and smash hit Deadpool, took AJ on as a co star on his tour across the country. AJ has been seen on Comedy Central's Trial By Laughter, Last Comic Standing, now Laughs on Fox and is a Sirius Radio comedy star, his album on Itunes has been top ten for two years now.
AJ has been compared to a younger Bill Burr or an early Dennis Miller, his words fly in a nearly poetic roll with comedy and laughs streaming right at his audiences, they love the guy. AJ along with KC's Nikki Glaser, may be the best talent to come from Kansas City in the last 15 years. You can see how far AJ has come this weekend when he takes the stage at Stanfords, Legends. AJ will have another hot young comic open for him, top rated female star, Maeret Lemons. Lemons made her first appearance on Fox morning TV here in KC Thursday and was at the Midland with TV series star Marc Maron.
