$310M Hyatt clears planning hurdle, but more delays loom - Kansas City Business Journal

The group developing the $310 million Hyatt Regency convention headquarters hotel cleared a planning hurdle Tuesday, winning unanimous City Plan Commission approval for the downtown project's preliminary plan. But Mike Burke, a principal at KC Hotel Developers LLC, said delays in design had pushed back planned April financial closings.

Public finance, contract negotiations, someone should be on their way to prison. It's against the law. Mike Burke should have been in prison from the last failed multimillion dollar development that the city is still suffering from.
