TKC MUST READ!!! KANSAS CITY TAX FIGHTERS PROPOSE POLICE DEPT. AUDIT AMID SEARCH FOR NEW CHIEF!!!

Check this alternative view of the Police Chief search currently underway along with a couple of suggestions from Kansas City's most prolific group of low tax enthusiasts:

CFRG POLICE CHIEF SUGGESTIONS

We are all disappointed to see Chief Forte decide to retire. We thank him for his service and dedication and wish him all the best. As with most situations like this, it opens up opportunities. The Kansas City Police Department has struggled with dwindling budgets, fewer officers, high crime numbers, lack of local control and other political issues. On Sunday April 2nd, the KC Star suggested we need to hire an outside agency to help find a new Chief. This is premature, in our opinion. We suggest we need to do is use this opportunity to analyze the Police Department from top to bottom before we hire a new Chief. City Hall has spent over $12 Million dollars on airport consultants to tell them what they wanted to hear. Why not spend a little money and get some professional, outside experts in town to look at our police department?

Perhaps there is a local police officer capable of taking over the department but that might get us more of the same high crime problems? Why not get some fresh eyes on the situation and a different perspective? Two names come to mind, Ray Kelly and Bill Bratton both from New York. These guys were responsible for bringing the New York Police Department into the modern era. They supervised over 25,000 officers (Kansas City has less than 1,000) in one of the toughest cities in the country and were able to bring crime under control and keep it there. They have a world of knowledge and experience we just might be able to learn from. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to get a different perspective on our situation. Let’s use this opportunity to GET IT RIGHT!

Call and Email your Council Person, the Mayor and the City Manager. Hiring an agency to look for a new Chief is just putting a band aid on a serious wound. With that approach, we’ll get a talking head with a brilliant resume and end up with the same structure and problems. Let’s take this opportunity to get a real handle on how the department is staffed and structured plus what changes might be made to improve things. If asked perhaps one or both Kelly and Bratton would help with the recruitment process. Fresh eyes f4rom the outside are never a bad thing. We don’t have anything to lose and possibly a lot to gain!.

If we are able to get a new plan for our Police Department, it might go a long way toward getting local control.

probably a better idea than letting Sly make the choice for us.

The new chief needs to be clear about:

- Local control
- The Plaza
- Hiring policies
- Overtime
- Unions.

Without that, it's just another recipe for disaster.

Certain folks have been requesting a police audit since the East Patrol scam, which is also around the time Darryl Forte was appointed as Chief. It's all corrupt.

KCPD is like the Mafia ... pure corruption.

The police get audited every year. required by law. You never hear to much about city departments getting audited. Forte had nothing to do with the East Patrol site. The buildings are built by and belong to the city not the PD.

You mean take a look at the organization you have, its staffing, equipment, policies, and budget priorities and make decisions based on what the organization needs going forward to meet its challenges and objectives?
What a concept!
Management 101.
Which means it will never happen in KCMO.
Alert the revs to flood city hall's 29th floor again to lobby for the next black chief.
KCMO has one-third the number of murders as New York City, which has a population 17 times as large.
Wouldn't want to do anything to risk that great track record.

Get out of KC to find a new chief or all you are going to end up with is another political patsy.

CFRG has pretty much been wrong about everything so far.

So yeah why stop now?

How about the sheriff of Milwaukee , the Honorable David Clark ? He's a great black man brother and a conservative who doesn't seem to put up with all the LIBERAL Democrat Snowflake shit ¡!

30 year veteran of kcpd. Totally agree on the audit and totally agree on outside chief. The department is in shambles. The city is a much more dangerous place and the retirement system is in peril, both due to the severe lack of officers. Any inside pick for chief would be a disaster and a continuation of what ran the department into the ground.

Kelly and Bratton would fit in well in KC. Their corruption could teach the ol' dogs here some new tricks.

I think the police are audited more by the city than any other department. Maybe the city could audit....say....the water department....maybe....fire department overtime....or how about the mayor's office.

How about the former sheriff of San Francisco , the Honorable Ross Mirkarimi ? He's a great supporter of Sanctuary Cities and a Progressive who doesn't seem to put up with all the CONSERVATIVE Repubtard shit-flake shit ¡!
