TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY MUST FIGHT AGAINST TOY TRAIN STREETCAR HIJACKING TREND!!!

Real life on urban transit offers Kansas City a warning regarding the reality of commuting life in other metro areas.

This link was sent our way by KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS as a warning of "days to come" aboard this town's streetcar system that hopes to garner expansion.

Read it and weep for the future:

CBS Local: Passengers on a Bay Area Rapid Transit train were robbed, and in some cases beaten, when dozens of juveniles stormed aboard the train and forced them to give up their property, police said.

To wit . . .

THE KANSAS CITY STREETCAR IS WELL GUARDED RIGHT NOW BUT THIS SIGN OF THE TIMES PREVIEWS THREATS THAT CONFRONT THE PLAZA TOY TRAIN EXTENSION!!!

As Prez Trump works to cut back Federal Funding for this kind of rail transit . . . Locals must be warned of the consequences of less cash and resources for our light rail experiment and very REAL AND DANGEROUS circumstances targeting rail passengers in other cities.

Developing . . .

  1. San francisco is sweet. it would be a shame to pay 3000 a month in rent and then have to deal with this kind of thing.

    Bad news indeed.

  2. all things considered. This isn't such bad news for KC. The streetcar people only car about the streetcar, if they want to prevent trouble on their folly trolley then maybe they would "get on board" with more police on the Plaza and protection for the area so that we can prevent this kind of violence, rather than sticking our head in the sand and pretending that this kind of thing already doesn't happen on the bus where violence is a constant at stops and on board.

  3. All the thugs in KCMO lugging around their semi automatics won't be allowed on the streetcar.

It will be totally safe for the tourists.

  6. You think people that vote for the street car actually will ride the streetcar? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....!
Nope, they just like the idea of the streetcar. You know....for city comparison sake.
When their friends from out of town come to visit.

  7. The KC streetcar isn't much of a target for the bad guys.
There's usually just a handful of people on it and most of them are mellenials or hipsters with no money.
And the cops could easily walk as fast as the streetcar moves and arrest the robbers within a block or two.
Just another factor that makes KCMO NOTHING like the San Francisco Bay area.
    Amateur night on the plains.

  8. The Plaza is fast becoming an outdoor discount shopping center. With the crime in Kansas City being high and the problems on the Plaza, my bet is, it's a matter of time before huge problems hit the streetcar. If it happens on the bus it's going to happen on the streetcar, doesn't matter how fast the streetcar goes, when crime hit the buses some of them were stopped, you still have to wait for the police and those flash mobs disperse like cockroaches.

  9. By the time there's enough federal money again to run the street car to the plaza (at best, years from now), there won't be any plaza to run it to. Just stating the obvious, don't get mad at me.

Give it a try. The more that carry, LEGALLY, the fewer crimes. Argue with FBI statistic on these FACTS not me.
