Gentrification and the INSANE expansion of KU Med have ruined one of Kansas City's best dive bars. Take a look:

Two 39th Street businesses closing their doors

Two midtown Kansas City businesses on 39th Street near Bell are closing. The owner of D.B. Cooper's Bar and the owner of Po's Dumpling Bar are both retiring. Customers have been coming to D.B. Cooper's Bar for almost 40 years. "We had a good time.

Price Brothers bought one of those properties I think.

They'll want one of those glass things you see out in Overland Park to go in. Then when that loses money they will flip it to another developer.

The leases are expensive on West 39St ten thousand dollars a month that is your profits you will have to have customers,from open to close
