Fear Upcoming Thursday Kansas City Downtown WWI Centennial Shut Down

More deets on a celebration of "the Great War" that has been all but forgotten by humanity . . .

U.S. WWI ceremony to close streets for hours on Thursday

The World War I centennial event in Downtown Kansas City on Thursday will mean headaches for some commuters and others who will discover closed roads near Liberty Memorial, according to The Kansas City Star today.

  1. This is so fucking stupid. Making life inconvenient for everybody in Kansas City so a bunch of expense-account assholes can have a ceremony about a war nobody at all cares about anymore. Fuck everybody involved.

  2. Veterans...let these remarks sink in...

    No One cares about you.

Your sacrifices will be forgotten or laughed at by future generations.

    Just say NO!

  3. The veterans of World War I are all dead. ALL of them! And their parents too! Nobody who fought in World War I gives a rat's ass about some stupid memorial in some stupid city that had nothing to do with the war. Nobody!

My grandfather fought in World War I. Did I ever thank him for his service or otherwise express my appreciation of his bravery? HELL NO. Because he was dead, of old age, before I was even born.

Maybe we should quit pretending to care about dead people we never even knew and instead focus on taking decent care of the war veterans who are NOT dead but who are having a very hard time because of the negligence, stupidity and selfishness of the American people and their government.

World War I? Is that like the Peloponnesian War? (What's a Peloponnesian?) Your average graduate of American public schools no longer knows what either one of those were. Most college graduates in America aren't real clear about which came first, the Civil War or World War I. This will not change because Kansas City is spending lots of money teaching them that World War I causes traffic jams.

  4. Best to keep the Niggers out. They will loot, harm, and steal.
