TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! COWTOWN PRIORITIES: CITY HALL ORDERS DOWNTOWN SMALL BIZ PARKING CRACKDOWN AMID KANSAS CITY MURDER SPREE!!!

Quick bit of followup tonight regarding FAKE NEWS about "stolen" parking spaces . . .

Today KCMO removed carryout parking at Manny's and other downtown restaurants . . .

Here's the response from the management:

"Our family has been in this city for 37 years and we don't steal from people. We've had carryout parking spots for 20+ years that my father Manny got approved those many years ago. How can we be "stealing" spots?"

It should be noted that Manny's pays for a great many traditional parking spaces and the overreaction to the curbside signage inspired a curiously quick reaction from City Hall.

More to the point . . .

FOR THOSE WAITING ON 311 CALLS AND OTHER SERVICES . . . CITY HALL IS ONLY INTERESTED IN GOVERNING THE DOWNTOWN AREA AND MAKING LIFE HARDER FOR SMALL BIZ!!!

Real talk . . . The response to a local news story is comical and makes KCMO leadership seem petty when so many other civic problems and complaints go unanswered.

Developing . . .

Reality check, Tony. Investigating murders costs money while writing tickets brings in a buck or two.

Manny is a prick and their food overrated. The manager disrespected my mother years ago. Haven't been back since. Karma is a bitch, hope they take all their parking spots.

The Lopez family (all legal U.S. born, 8:04) has been in business in KC for nearly 40 yrs and brought many loyal patrons returning often with their four or five generations of families and friends. They're doing something right.

Manny is missed, but he'll be long remembered for caring for his friends, his restaurant, but mostly for his family. TKC did very well with notice and a respectful tribute last year after Manny's death.

It's still worth the drive from far west Dotte to get Manny's. Going for Big 12 and St. Pat's, to eat a pork burrito, chicken flautas, cheese enchiladas, and a Guiness, or two. Chips and dips to go! Hey, olé!!!

The City Council is corrupt and acts in the interests of a select few, not for the greater good of the City. Too bad.
