Kansas City St. Paddy's Irish Crackdown???

Readers may not always agree with Kansas City Conservative Jack Cashill . . . But he's our 4th or 5th favorite local Irishman in town and this line is just funny . . .

"Can we presume that those “hooligans” apprehended on St. Patrick’s day will be hauled away in “Paddy” wagons as a result of their “shenanigans.” Indeed, the very language of the justice system prejudges an entire group of people."

Ethnic Profiling: KC Police to Set Up Sobriety Checkpoints for St. Patrick's Day

  1. Excuse me, but the cops also set up sobriety checkpoints on New Year's Eve, too. And for the same reason. Amateur drunks.

On St. Patrick's Day a lot of people whose names end in "ski" and other vowels love to appropriate the holiday as an excuse to get puking drunk. You think the cops are setting up the checkpoints just to catch the Irish?

  3. Irishguy - did they set up sobriety checkpoints for Cinco de Mayo? Or did the cops just show to wish "happy holiday" to all the illegal aliens?

  5. I am sure that when Cinco de Mayo becomes the civic drunk fest that St. Patrick's Day is in Kansas City, the cops will have sobriety checkpoints out.

But instead of pretending your the victim because they'll be on the lookout for St. Paddy's Day drunks, here's a way to avoid it: Stay sober. And if you can't stay sober, don't drive.

Is that too difficult a concept for you to grasp? Or are you now going to whine that they don't set up checkpoints on Bastille Day, either? Or the Chinese New Year.

  6. If you drink to much, just go get on the street car and ride it till you sober up. Least the damn thing will have been useful for something.

  7. The seats lean downwards so you are always sliding. A bus seat is more comfortable. Couldn't imagine being drunk with that cuck of a cop in riot gear scowling at me.

  8. I grasp it fine Irishguy. If you're in denial about the double standard, you are the stereotypical stupid mik.
