An optimistic take on activism across the bridge hints that rural Missouri Red State politics might not be making inroads into Kansas City proper without a challenge. The bright side here is that a quick look at Clay County will reveal that the GOP is mostly clueless and embarrassing on this side of the bridge so there's not a lot competition to fear. Still, the trend has more to do with increasing diversity and income disparity rather than the addiction to hope that most political advocates peddle to the voting public . . .

Republicans moving left of Democrats is not a turn at all.
ReplyDeleteIts easy to get some notoriety and to rub shoulders with powerful people by getting active in politics. Its much harder to do the same by actually working and creating something of value.
