  2. Very reasonable considering the city has shorted the department millions each year for the last decade. Most officers are 4-5 steps behind on raises they were promised when they were hired.

........ and consider that the Fire Department has been getting raises hand over fist for the last decade without skipping a beat.

  3. The fire department and police department get about 75+% of the city's budget. Other departments that do important work are under-funded and have to lay off there employees, and big layoffs are coming but so are lies becaue Sly and Troy want that bond issue to pass.

  8. The coward Forte didn't even show up. He's a disgrace and embarrassment to the department.

  10. cops & fire get all the money and raises while other city emloyees get nothing except the threat of being laid off. The people of the city will suffer the most because nothings going to get done in time.

  11. If people actually stop being so hardheaded and vote to legalise marijuana, the senseless crimes will drop dramatically. You know why? The state will tax it and make a billion within a couple years. imagine the amazing things we can do with that money!
I recently moved to KCMO and I can't wait to get out of here. The city is falling apart and people are getting shot every other day, sometimes for no reason and it doesn't matter what part of the city you're in.
Money doesn't grow on trees and voting against something that will do a lot of
    good...including saving LIFES is evil.
