Craig Talks Comedian Todd Bridges

Quick note from our pal Craig about his weekend plans . . .

Todd Bridges/Different Strokes Star/At Stanfords This Weekend

Todd Bridges has starred and been in over 100 different tv shows and movies since he was a little boy. In fact he was the first regular black child star on a tv series, The Waltons decades ago. He followed that with Little House On The Prairie. However his household fame came from the decade long run of 'Different Stokes' as Willus. Different Stokes runs everywhere daily to this day in re-runs. Bridges did other name shows like 'Fish' and movies with Adam Sandler including 'That's My Boy,' but he will always be the older brother from Different Strokes.

Todd began doing stand up comedy many years ago and is damn funny. He talks about his troubled childhood, put out a hit book: Killing Willus and his life as both a child star and all his crazy events and female relationships. The guy is a talented comic and actor for sure.

In fact he will have yet another tv series this summer as the head of the family in a kinder gentler show..."It aint the Kardashians" he says. Yep Todd has done it all, from Circus Of The Stars with Brooke Shields to Roots, one hell of a career.

Todd just finished a three run in Vegas with his own show, now you can see him live at Stanford and Sons Comedy Club, Legends this Friday and Saturday, shows at 745/945. Coming up is one of the roast stars from Comedy Central, Tony Hinchcliffe. He did Justin Bieber and James Franco. Tony also has one of the nations top pod casts. B Rich returns to Stanfords for two special shows next week along with Steve Kramer, the KC guy who got his own tv show with Frank Caliendo on Warner Brothers, Hype.

  2. Bridges appeared in two episodes of The Waltons and one episode of Little House. That hardly makes him a series regular. He was a regular on Fish, which ran for one season 1977-78, a year before Diff'rent (Not Different) Strokes. But in the same 1977-78 season, Janet Jackson began her 48-episode run on Good Times.

And three years before that, Ralph Carter began his role as Mike Evans, the youngest child, also on Good Times.

And as noted before, Bridges played Willis (not Willus) Jackson.

Honest to God, Glazer, can you walk and chew gum at the same time?

  9. I swear, and Craig wonders why people crap on his stories when he puts a mess like this out. The correct facts have never been one of his stronger suits. I am sure he will be around shortly to blame it all on someone else.

  10. So its Willis not Willus, my fault. The guy's had a hell of a long entertainment career and was on all those shows...simple as that.

  11. Hey Todd do you think Gary's wife kicked him down the steps?
