Search crews and police officers at Platte Landing Park pulled two vehicles from the water on Friday, the latter of which belongs to Toni Anderson according to her family. Her family told FOX 4 that the license plate on the vehicle pulled in the evening matches those of Anderson’s Ford Focus.
Police sources tell FOX 4 that a body was also found, but no ID has been released yet.

There are a lot of rumors flying around at this point but what has been confirmed is that her car was discovered in the river and, as we predicted, things don't look good for her safe return or for so many other Kansas City homicides that will be pushed out of the spotlight because of this sex worker media obsession.

ReplyDelete9:23 Did KCPD search the river? That's a Parkville jurisdiction and Platte COunty/Parkville would have called that one. KCPD would have deferred to Platte County Sheriff as well given the pecking order. Rivers, moreover the Missouri channel is funny given different currents during different seasons and water levels. A car driven down the boat ramp there could have tumbled underwater for any distance between 100 yards to a mile downstream. The river level has been dropping seasonally so maybe a walker saw a shadow, something exposed in an eddy. The Missouri is a clever beast to say the least. You could turn up nothing one day and the next, at the same spot, pull up a small car because of a moving scour-hole along the river bottom. Tides, currents, eddys, lots of questions remain. Lets not be so quick to blame the PoPo. Draggin a lake and draggin a river are two very different things. Draggin the Missouri River is a whoe different animal.

A simple side scan sonar would have found these cars. Catfishermen on the river can see big Blue cats for christ sakes.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people have said a lot of things and what 11:39 says is correct in many ways about fish detectors. I think our local police didn't have much to work with and so I doubt they were wasting much time doing anything. It's sad it took this long to find a car that was suppose to only have been in a few feet of water close to an area that seems to have people around rather frequently. But the mighty Mo has also a habit of only let loose of things when it wants to. The group that located the car appears like they know what the hell they are doing and got the job done making KCPD look like idiots which doesn't seem to be hard to do anymore. Now that the car and the owner both seem to have been located I'm betting Alonzo the media baiter will be preaching from any over turned cat litter box he can find to stand on and speak from saying how it were him who give the tips to solve this while citing his so called sources which are probably scanners.

Saw some of the time line before, and she got stopped by a cop, then got gas at QT, then texted someone "OMG, I got stopped again". This was all I believe after 4 am. Then her BF said the last ping came from Parkville, which I'm assuming is about the time the car went under the water.
