TKC EXCLUSIVE KANSAS CITY POPULARITY CONTEST: ARE THESE POLITICOS LOSING FAVOR AMID PREZ TRUMP ERA?!?!

An important question from our blog community inspires a moment of contemplation tonight . . .

To wit . . .

WILL CONSTANT CHALLENGES TO PREZ TRUMP BRING DOWN THE POPULARITY OF POLITICOS IN KANSAS CITY???

Quick survey of the challenges confronting some of the most outspoken Prez Trump critics . . .

A TKC Reader Asked: Will Sen. Claire Have Any Chance At Reelection If She Opposes Gorsuch For Supreme Court???

Sen. Claire hand picked her opponent Todd Akin who couldn't help but shoot himself in the foot . . . Now, Missouri seems to be turning into a reliably Red State and her continued Anti-Prez Trump stance could be portrayed as obstructionism by many Missouri voters.

Did Mayor Sly Lose Favor By Taking Up A Bullhorn Against Prez Trump's Immigration Crackdown???

Leading an airport protest was a bold move for the Mayor but the aftermath seems to be a great deal of push back from Conservative residents for his defiance of an otherwise popular immigration crackdown.

With LGBT Rights Secured, Will Council Lady Jolie Justus Finally Have To Confront Infrastructure And Crime Concerns In Her District???

For now, Prez Trump has disarmed the LGBT community by upholding protections put forward by Prez Obama. Meanwhile, rising crime and all around decay in the 4th District is a far more pressing concern despite the fact that Council Lady Justus seems far more interested in politics at the national level. With rising crime and taxes foremost on the minds of the 4th District . . . Prez Trump hateration almost seems like a distraction.

To wit . . .

LIKE IT OR NOT, ANTI-PREZ-TRUMP ADVOCACY MIGHT NOT HELP KANSAS CITY POLITICOS IN THE LONG RUN!!!

While everybody needs a bad guy to fight against . . . Political bickering is rarely productive and KCMO residents seem to be just a bit more skeptical of all their elected leaders now that a reality TV show host holds the nation's top job.

You decide . . .

  1. Kansas City is long overdue for a northland mayor. That is the REAL power struggle TKC.

  2. Claire will throw the girls and their scrape jobs under the bus. She will vote for the Justice.

  3. Backing who ever in politics always has it risks. Attacking the same can also be a career ending choice. When a person has been elected to an office other already elected parties should at least show a little respect and try to work for the common good of the citizens doing the voting.

I'm sorry but I don't see to many elected Democrats in the area or democratic supporters for that matter even trying to make something work here. I have never seen so much hate taking place that is not helping their cause at all. I see a lot of protesting stances that are basically ridiculous in the whole scheme of things and elected officials thinking they can thumb their nose at the federal government while elected federal officials more or less are saying hell no we are not going to cooperate at all.

I have seen grade school children behave better on the playground with only one ball to play with than I have seen of hundreds of thousands of adults in the past few months. This isn't what America is about and isn't the direction it should be going.

Plus all the fake news has got to stop. The fake Facebook posts along with all the fake out right nothing but lies Tweeter posts all has to stop. Free speech isn't about selling lies and hate. It isn't about tearing something down just because your the minority instead of the majority that likes something. One hell of a lot of common sense thinking needs to be returned to our every day lives and that includes all elected political people who have been placed in to office.

  4. McCaskill could stand out by voting for DeVos..seperate herself from Democrat sore losers..score points with the MO repub voters.

if she's dumb enough to oppose Gorsuch --she's def out in 2018

  5. Change from the top requires tough mean people.

Trump will get a close hard look at KCMO leaderships antics soon or later.

  6. Checked McCaskill's Twitter acct -- stated she's opposed to DeVos --

her Twitter home page has a photo of her hugging it out with 5 kids---ALL black!

    some much for Demo "inclusiveness"

  7. "With LGBT Rights Secured, Will Council Lady Jolie Justus Finally Have To Confront Infrastructure And Crime Concerns In Her District???"

That would be a good idea.

  11. Yes, Jolie. Yes, yes. We're all so happy that you can be all the letters you want without fear. Good.

Now that your identity issue is settled, you may have to actually...do some kind of job. :)

  12. Trump Tells Pena Nieto He Might Send Troops to Mexico to Deal With 'Bad Hombres'

"You have a bunch of bad hombres down there," Trump told Pena Nieto, according to the excerpt seen by the AP. "You aren't doing enough to stop them. I think your military is scared. Our military isn't, so I just might send them down to take care of it."

    Haha! Let's roll!

  13. Two of the major political race-sites are listing the ClaireMc 2020 race as "toss up" even with NO OPPONENT LISTED. That is amazing, but undoubtedly correct. If a mainstream GOP candidate opposes her, she will start the race 20 points behind and never catch up.

Claire is toast. Off to be a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.

  14. No safe spaces for leaders and politicians to hide from Trump.

  15. gorsuch is such a clearly -qualified non-wacko that opposing him can only be obstructionism.

if Claire opposes him, she'll be including herself in the radical so-called resistance group.

that is so out of step with missouri that it would be hard to defend in 2018

  16. Mayor Sly is safe because KC has morphed into a reliable elector of corrupt black politicians. Welcome to the exclusive club of basket case cities.

Senator McAsskill, on the other hand, is as desirable as a 2009 iPhone. The powers of the Missouri Democratic Party should be prepping Kander to challenge her in the primary; otherwise, kiss that Senate seat goodbye.

  17. Can't believe that my city has become such a trash heap. We need some real leaders that care about our neighborhoods, not just their careers.

    ReplyDelete
  18. How about picking up the bull horn on fighting crime jackass.

  19. The mayor is the epitome of FAKE.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Claire's toast anyway and she knows it. Kander is up and coming young stud that Dems will want. Mo Repubs have no one to run against Kander. Get a look at that gander Kander!
