Just a quick update and songs to power Kansas City Saturday night for those of us who spend it alone with video games, engaged in online arguments or displaying our love for the digital era in some other solitary fashion.

CELEBRATE OUR KANSAS CITY LOVE WEEKEND SONGS AMID AS WE SLOUCH TOWARD VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Quick list with a shout out toward topics and trends . . .

Let's start with nasty millennial innuendo and a sentimental tune that they won't stop playing in every store throughout the Kansas City metro i.e. every strip mall in America . . .

A protest song with a lovely message from an era when the culture war wasn't so angry on both sides of the equation . . .

Love Train reminds us of Kansas City endless devotion to our own toy train streetcar . . .

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night . . .

Since the modern incarnation of this pagan holiday was conceived at Hallmark in Kansas City, it is only fitting that you be especially stupid about this.

Buy diamonds, because the diamond retailers have convinced you that this somehow has something to do with love. Buy chocolate, because every woman in America is under weight. Take your wife to dinner, because your unpaid domestic servant needs a day off!
