THE TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! EXPOSING THE POLITICS OF SHEN YUN COMING SOON TO KANSAS CITY!!!

For the past few weeks Kansas City has been awash in advertisements for a Chinese show that's coming up next week.

Sadly, there's nothing but promotional reporting for the event in Kansas City and virtually no examination that offers a closer look at the controversy surrounding the show.

Because it's important to understand all of these issues at the dawn of Chinese Hegemony . . . Here's a glimpse of better media outlets recently offering a some insight into the performance . . .

LA Times: Falun Gong, banned in China, finds a loud protest voice in the U.S. through Shen Yun dance troupe

Telegraph UK: Shen Yun is ‘a blasphemy against real art’

Fresno Bee: Shen Yun returns, offering artistry and a political message

This show has been in Kansas City year after year but local news outlets have been virtually silent on the topic of controversy behind the scenes. Meanwhile, this town is virtually plastered in visual blight for the performance which is either a propaganda event for an alleged cult or a powerful expression against Communist tyranny . . . And still probably too expensive and over the heads of most broke-ass KCMO plebs.

And so our playlist is inspired by a cultural celebration and probably because it's as good of a night as any to go grab some General Tso's chicken . . .

The most popular video/song in Youtube's history is a tribute to the Chinese luxury good life . . .

Old school tribute reminds us that even some beloved entertainers weren't always politically correct . . .

Chris Brown offers Asian tribute . . .

Classic rock remembers the wonderful time in American history wherein middle-class consumer problems dominated the cultural zeitgeist . . .

Finally, our favorite somewhat Asian influenced clip/song:

Finally . . .

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night . . .

  1. I just feel sorry for customer service people in town over next week.

The tourists coming in for this show can be a real pain in the ass. Propaganda or not, KC politeness is a value we should export.

  2. It's a dance show
I'm sure there is more artistry in the show than much acclaimed crucifix in a jar of urine that tax payers financed

If you want to survive the era of "Chinese Hegemony", then you need to upgrade your terminology:

They are not "Chinese", they are Han. They do not speak "Chinese", they speak Mandarin.

The people of Hong Kong & Taipei are not Han, & do not speak Mandarin. This is what's wrong with "China"'s "One China Policy". It's a lie. There are in fact several "China's", but they are all ruled by the Han Imperialists.

  4. If Falon Gong does one day overthrow the CCP it will be the single greatest achievement in the history of US CIA shenanigans.

  6. Liu Bang was leader of the Han he was a mass murderer who killed half the population to gain control. He was ruthless. he had a One China policy mass murder is nothing new to china. later it was Mao and his cultural revolution for creating one people. Again a mass murderer. China is expanding with it's china sea expansionist policy.

  8. The Chinese question is another promise that President Trump is taking on, better than the Democrats who are making their own deals.

  11. 6:48, don't be fooled - his supposed facts are wron in almost every post. The one above is no exception. The Han people comprise over 90% of the Chinese mainland. They speak not only Mandarin (4 tones), but also Cantonese (6 tones) and a host of other dialects. And, claiming that citizens of Hong Kong and Taiwan are not Han Chinese is pure bullshit, who knows where he got that. In truth, the population of both are both over 90% Han.

  12. The chinese, like the mexicans, not only have their own wall to keep out illegal aliens, but they also have the same disregard and lack of respect for human life. They deserve everything bit of suffering that they get until they finally take charge of their own country and take it from the communist elites who have gotten rich while no one opposes them.
