TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! LEGAL ACTION SOON DEMANDS HIGHER KANSAS CITY MINIMUM WAGE VOTE ON UPCOMING APRIL BALLOT!!!

Last week OUR KICK-ASS BLOG COMMUNITY WAS FIRST to talk about an upcoming local legal move to put a controversial topic on the April ballot.

Tonight . . . It's news fact . . . Take a peek:

KSHB: Kansas City group to take legal action so voters can decide on minimum wage in April

Money line . . .

The fight to let voters decide if Kansas City should raise the minimum wage is continuing. Reverend Vernon Howard Jr., of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Greater Kansas City, is helping lead the charge.

“If a person takes the responsibility to work for a living that person should have a moral and just economy and living wage in return,” he said.

Howard and others say they will soon take legal action so that Kansas City voters can decide in April, rather than August, if the minimum wage should be raised . . .

The big question is . . .

Will Missouri law preventing cities from raising their wages withstand legal scrutiny from the State Supreme Court???

It's a topic that voters should consider as well along with local weed decriminalization, a lot of bond money cor City Hall and the beloved doggie shelter.

You decide . . .

  1. The big company fast food specificity of this legislation could be a deciding factor. Very few people are willing to fight for McDonald's. They can probably take care of their own dirty work.

  9. FACT :

Now, who remembers my earlier posts where I said if they go thru with this wage increase,,,, that they'd turn right back around and find away to take, what their giving you away from you !!

City officials have already devised a way to do that, thru HIGHRER TAXES, higher property taxes, higher sales taxes.

KCP&L already wanting yet another higher rate hike !

as I said before, its all a "Dog & Pony show" with those city officials of KCMO to lie & deceive those who are Naïve & just don't get it !

They'll act like they are doing you a favor, then turn around and stab you in the back afterwards and find a way to STEAL back, what they just gave you,,, typical of how the communist libtards work to deceive those naïve and stupid enough to believe their BS Snake Oil tactics !!!

I can righteously say,,, I TOLD YOU SO !!!!!!

SLY JAMES $800 MILLION DOLLAR Property Tax Increase hit home yet ???

  11. It's arithmetic dumb-fucks. If the minimum wage goes by way of government interference in the free market, then a miniature Obama Care disaster will take place for small business and minimum wage employees. Costs go up, customers go elsewhere. It's fucking 101 Adam Smith, entry level nuance.

Artificial increases in wages, undeserved by way of skills and experience will result in loss of employment and the destruction of some small business, and, the radical change of business plans that reflect the inefficient and pernicious interference in the economy.

Labor costs are in many cases, the lion's share of expense in running a business.

You DON'T get to keep your doctor, health plan, job, or business when idiot, Democrat, agenda driven Marxist fucks run the show.

  12. When our service men and women get paid over $15/hour to put their lives on the line, then raise the minimum wage to $15.

Are tipped employees going to be included with this raise hike?

I can see raising the wage to $10, but not $15

  13. Do what a restaurant in CA is doing- Add "service fee" i.e. their wage, on the bill. Why not a facilities charge too.
