Kansas City Season Of Vigils Continues With An Upcoming Anti-Gun Tragedy Tribute

It's always the season of vigils for social media . . . And that includes Kansas City activists who mistakenly believe that taking away the ability for people to legally defend themselves somehow makes everyone safer.

Also . . .

Don't forget that . . .

Every Day is a Holiday on Twitter

To wit . . .

The latest local anti-gun vigil will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the J.C. Nichols Memorial Fountain just east of the Country Club Plaza. It’s sponsored by the Heartland Coalition Against Gun Violence and Moms Demand Action, founded the day after the Sandy Hook massacre.

Also . . . The only reason I posted this at all is because TKC TOTALLY thought "Moms Demand Action" was something else entirely . . .

Kansas City Vigil for Newtown

Join us at the Kansas City Plaza Fountain to remember Newtown and all people affected by gun violence. By December 14, 2016, the 4th anniversary of the tragic Newtown shooting, an estimated 120,000 Americans will have died from guns and another 300,000 more Americans will have been injured by guns. It’s a heartbreaking toll that affects all of our communities. Shed a light on the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our communities.

  4. Interesting point on Nancy Lanza. It is incredible that a parent would buy an obviously fucked up child an assault rifle (or any type of weapon). Of course, she paid the price for her actions. Unfortunately, so did a whole bunch of children. Had her psychopathic son not killed her, I really do wonder if she would have faced charges for aiding and abetting.

  6. Do these dumb shit heels honestly believe that the problem with guns are legal gun owners. For Christ sakes the felonious boons are shooting up the city damn near every night completely undeterred by law enforcement or any real plan implemented by the geniuses and their task forces running this town.

If anything legal gun owners are going to be a part of the cure ...after January 1st. The thug boons wont have a clue who is carrying and I guarantee when a few of them find out there will be a whole new perspective on managing their risk when it comes to violent crime.

  7. Oh, sure, 7:20/Lou's logic would have it that bad baby mamas better not allow baggy britches, nearly naked big-boobied b*tches, and lewd lyrics anywhere near their 20somethings sons. See how that works, yet? Let me spell it out. All who have a hip-hop "look" ARE NOT ALL killers and crims.

All who have anxiety, depression, Aspberger, or schizophrenia ARE NOT ALWAYS going to mass murder.
Adam Lanza was reported to be afflicted with all or at least one of the four health issues listed above. Consider that he had the same convenient, easy access to full gas cans, matches, knives, pressure cookers, batteries, wires, ropes, etc. as he did guns.

How many others have treated, or untreated and possibly escalating mental health issues, but haven't openly threatened harm, nor committed an alarming enough violent act to draw notice and to get help?

SHOULD WE BAN CARS AND KNIVES NOW THAT A SOMALI BORN STUDENT CRASHED AND SLASHED AT OHIO STATE?

IT'S NOT THE WEAPON...IT'S THE WHACKO THAT'S TO BLAME !!!

  8. THIS IS PART OF THE "Smart Cities" initiative run by Mayor Bloomberg, which Kansas City has signed up for, and RECEIVED MONEY for "if" the city will promote and sponsor anti-gun activities. Who got the money????
