A note about the local comedy scene and holiday season funny from our pal Craig . . .
Craig Glazer: From 'Cover Of The Rolling Stone' To Stanfords. JJ Walker!
Jimmie Walker has had quite a year. He was the final interview on CNN in Las Vegas before the Trump/Clinton final debate last month. Jimmie was on the cover of the Rolling Stone, 'Good Times' named one of the all time great tv shows. Jimmie starred as JJ 'kid dynomite.' In fact the show is being brought back anew to Netflix by Norman Lear. Wow. They will redo 'Maude' and 'All In the Family' as well. Of course new cast members. Jimmie was named by People Magazine one the top 100 pop stars of the century. Nice.
Walker will be in the new Robert De Niro movie that open in January with a huge cast 'The Comdian.' The man keeps on rolling. Jimmy makes his home in both LA and Las Vegas where he performs in theaters and casino's all over the city. This weekend JJ will be at Stanfords in its new location, The Legends,Village West. His credits are endless but his TV show, 'Good Times' is still on daily all over the world. The man is truly a comedy and entertainment legend.
Jimmie and I have been close friends for 25 plus years. He flew to KC to help my dad run for mayor back in the early 2000's, was at my mother's bedside when she passed away in 2007, helped me with charities and corporate events in Kansas City and Las Vegas. The guy is a very caring pal and I love to hear his stories about the 'biz' he's lived it all from 'Woodstock' when he was a radio man to the original 'Tonight Show' and beyond. Walker always shows up in tv and film to this day, his recent tv series included 'I Hate Chris' and 'Scrubs.' The guy is still a funny damn stand up comic. Yes he now says 'Dyno-mite' on stage. Hah.

Upcoming Michael Winslow/Police Academy, Josh Wolf/The Josh Wolf Show, Chelsea/ April Macie/ @Midnight w/ Dave Attell/ Chris Franjola the new Chelsea show on Netflix/ the former Mrs. Ralphie May with Will C for Xmas/'Broken Lizards' Super Troopers/Kevin Farley/ 'I Am Chris Farley' and yes our old pal, who can't stay out of trouble/ Screech/ Dustin Diamond/Eddie Ifft/ Chelsea/Jim Jefferies tv series/ all between now and end of January.

ReplyDeleteBy the way Craig it's Jimmie not Jimmy, you moron, jeez you are one dumb son of a bitch. For claiming to be such pals one would think you'd at least know how to spell his name correctly.
Two people who just haven't figured it out nobody gives a shit about them. Glazer hasn't done a damn thing other than a book which he didn't write nor didn't sell all that well and he can't seem to get anyone to make a movie of. Walker did the same thing with the same results. Walker got nominated twice for a Golden Globe and each time failed to win which right that there tells the tale of his acting career and how he isn't all that popular as Glazer would like us to think he is. Walker is a hashed out old television star like Don Knotts was, but least Don got awards and a star on Hollywood Blvd which anyone can tell you isn't all that hard to do. Even Donald Trump has a star.
Walkers big claim to life is the phrase Dyn-o-mite which wasn't even something of his own making, the producer and writer John Rich came up with the idea which Walker at first hated. Good thing he did as he was told or he would have for sure been forgotten faster than your acting career Glazer.
So we have two people who are stuck in dead end lives going no where. Two idiots who haven't figured out out side of a couple of hundred people if that, nobody really gives a shit and both will be forgotten as soon as the last shovel full of dirt hits their grave.
Lolz somebody changed the spelling because it did say Jimmy for sure ealier but over at KCC Craig is still saying Jimmy in the comments section.

P.S. Jimmy informed me last night he will co star with Robert Dinero and Harvey Keitell in the movie COMEDIAN, coming to theaters in January. The guy is on it.

ReplyDeleteWow one of the most famous comics and entertainers of all time, People, Rolling Stone and he's a nobody? Glazer has a book, movie deal, tons of media attention and he's what, an idiot. Man the haters sure do hate Craig. Walker is not only funny his career is nonstop. Where do they find these people.
ReplyDelete+1000000000 4:51. Craig has done more than most, in fact more than bout anyone you can name from Kansas City. I think he will become legendary in the future. I read his book, and its a life more interesting and off the wall than even John Dillinger or Jessie James. Who does that stuff? As for James Walker, or is it Jimmy or Jimmie? Mister Walker is a world wide house hold name. I'm sure when Craig and Mister Walker are out in the Kansas City public there are plenty of 'look who is here' going on and can I get a picture with you guys. People who hate usually have done next to nothing with their lives. I see it daily. Thank you Craig for your years of service to Kansas City, all the talent and entertainment you have brought here and lived. Thank you.

ReplyDelete^^^^^^^ I found what 7:48 said to be rather factual, so I fail to see how that could be called hate. If the truth bothers you, stick to watching CNN and you'll be happy. I whole heartily agree with what 7:04 said. Only Glazer consistently tries to sell himself to others.
