Quizzically, the notice of their protest is kinda unclear in as much as the "devastating loss" they reference might be Hillary Clinton defeat OR the fact that the GOP dominated Missouri General Assembly has ruled that municipalities like Kansas City can't independently raise wages. In fairness, the Missouri minimum wage is currently the subject of a court fight that has a much better chance then politicos operating without sanction from the law.

We all should realize by now that this effort is funded as backed by the SEIU. This union is the worst at negoiating low wage contracts for their members and this is their effort to get their members a wage increase without the union pissing off the companies they have been unable to get these same raises for in the past.
