This one didn't really occur to our blog community because we mostly vote NO on just about everything . . . Still, this story has been making the rounds with far too much verbiage.
Thankfully more than a few local leaders have reached out amid the upcoming election to call out the latest shameless courthouse effort. Accordingly . . .

The folks pushing a sales tax increase, Jackson County #2, are running one of the most dishonest campaigns in recent memory. It is another sales tax increase, but they are hiding that and strongly promoting it as a "renewal".
Self righteous politicians like Crystal Williams have no problem with this corrupt campaign. If Jeff Roe had run such dishonest campaign, Williams and others would be screaming bloody murder accusing him of being a scum bag.
People might like the program the tax increase would fund, but you have to distrust that these people will spend the money they way they claim.
