There's a hot mess out in Clay County and it's hard for locals to get handle on the sitch given so many personalities and operatives jockeying for power with a myriad of hyper-local and mostly pointless issues.
To wit . . .
THANKS TO KICK-ASS TKC READERS AND CLAY COUNTY INSIDERS . . . RIGHT NOW WE'RE SHARING THE DEFINITIVE SUMMARY OF CLAY COUNTY POLITICAL SLAP FIGHTING!!!
In so many local debates the who and the how doesn't really make a difference . . . What AWESOME TKC READERS want to know is the "WHY" of any local political power move.
Accordingly . . . We're posting this EPIC AND MUCH APPRECIATED INSIGHT into Clay County political drama that PERFECTLY sums up the situation.
Some of the names and descriptions have been edited because I don't want to talk to ANY of these petty public figures let alone have to deal with them in court . . . However, the CLAY COUNTY INSIDER perspective provides a handy guide to the local politico denizens looking to keep score off the record, on the QT and very hush-hush . . .
Here's the word . . .
"It's no secret, Pam and Luann did not like each other. Pam and Gene constantly teamed up against her. So Luann got Jerry to primary her in a hope she would have a partner on the commission.
"Jerry is pretty easy going, so Luann figured she could control him.
"Earlier this year when a contract was up for renewal Jerry didn't play ball the way Luann wanted him to.
"So, Nicole (Luann's lap dog) reached out to Gene to build a "team".
"Gene is a follower. That's it, he isn't a leader at all. He was with Pam because she recruited him and he followed her. When she left, he needed someone else to follow. Jerry obviously didn't capitalize on that, but Nicole did, for the sake of Luann. It's that simple.
"So, now instead of working for the good of the county and taxpayers it's turned in to a bad reality show."
"P.S. - Forgot to also mention, Nicole was Luann's legislative aide in Jeff. Nicole's mommy is a Rep and they are all, Brown and Luann connected to the former disgraced speaker we like to call HOT ROD . . ."

This is a great comment from your reader Tony. MOre like this, he explained a lot of what is going on out here and I think we need to take a serious look at who we are putting into office.
