Kansas City Ethnic Celebration

Quick reminder that diversity and celebrating our differences makes this town much more captivating than lowbrow suburbanites and denizens of the backwoods rallying behind some lowbrow baseball hat slogan in order to cast hate upon more than half the country . . .

Today's example:

Description:

Each year, representatives from 50-60 different countries join together to create a community so rich in culture, you won't know where to begin. Lasting three days every August, the Ethnic Enrichment Festival gives Kansas Citians the opportunity to experience dance, costume, and cuisine from all around the world. More importantly, it reminds us to appreciate differences instead of fearing them.

Illegal Mexicans still pouring in, Blacks murdering cops and each other or showing up on the Plaza for a riot----that's all the cultural enrichment I can take.

If people want diversity, they should be able to seek it out rather than have it crammed down their throats. And if diversity really is a good thing, remember it's always possible to have too much of a good thing.
