Kansas City Democratic Party Insiders Want To Quickly Forget Loser Sen. Tim Kaine

Not so long ago a visit from Sen. Tim Kaine evoked a glare of excitement from locals and even more security welcome wagon to great the local political connection to the Hillary White House . . . But that didn't happen.

And so, the ALMOST second in command says that he's more comfortable out of the spotlight and that might be because he was schooled in his VP debate.

Brief aside for the late night . . . Before the election there were more than a few Kansas City Democratic Party denizens touting their connection to the dude and his local fam. Now those local bragging rights have been abandoned as Kansas City Democratic Party elite continue to find ways to try and stay relevant.

  10. sorry to see him hurt himself the way he did.

if he had acted like a Midwesterner, the way Pence did, he would have emerged as a senior, respected figure.

    not now.

  11. He is a symbol for the recalcitrance of the Democratic Party establishment and for the arrogance of the Clinton campaign. It looks like his being picked as Hillary's running mate was in the cards since he stepped down from chair of the DNC in favor of HRC's infamous campaign manager: Debbie Wasserman Schultz. By choosing the bland center right Kaine over a progressive like Sanders or Warren, Clinton indicated it did not need the youth vote or independents. Big mistake, but they are all straightjacketed by connections and IOUs.

  12. Tim Kaine is Hillary with different anatomy - a corrupt, double-talking grifter.

  13. It would have been cool to have someone from Kansas City as veep but not him.

Was surprised by him, in a negative way.

He was probably selected to be a nonfactor and allow the top of the ticket to be totally determinative. Either that was the case or, perhaps, he even hurt a little.

  14. Were there any Kansas City bigwigs really behind him?

  15. The big wigs wanted their boy Nixon in there but he had a date the night Ferguson erupted so now we get Garmin Gun Grieten who promises to personally mow down any insurrection in the future.

  19. I second the "creepy little guy" comment. Did not represent our city IMO.
