Kansas City Blogging Ugly Politics

Here's an important fact check on gender disparity among politicos and double standards from our favorite Kansas City blogger . . .

Uncommon Courage: The Glass Ceiling

Money line . . .

"Women are judged by their looks and their youth, while male politicians can be downright disgusting, old and nasty and get away with it. I think Bernie Sanders is great. However, if he was a woman, do you think he would have come under more scrutiny? Would Donald Trump have commented on his view of Sanders from the rear? What if a woman had denied fondling young men by saying they were not good looking enough to be fondled?"

Check the post in its entirety and realize that a great many young women have realized that they can grow up to be anything but President thanks to this election.

  1. Hillary won the Democratic nomination even though she was old and she was ugly even when young. She lost because voters didn't like her or trust her. She would have lost even if she looked like a movie star.

  2. Yup lets talk about how women are not looked upon the same as they rush to the stores and spend billions on hair, makeup and apparel. 80 percent of their clothing purchases are directly related to wanting to look attraction (by their own admission).

With that said American males perceiving women as sex objects is shunned. Yeah, that’s right ladies. Spend most of your life trying to make yourself a testosterone magnet and then complain when men take the bait.

If you want to be looked at as a work object ponder your presentation. Modern woman is a fucking dingbat. What a farce!

  3. Lynne has fell off the wagon it would appear. Her past two stories seem to me a little too full of hate.

And yes, I have heard many a woman say a man wasn't up to her standards in apperance many a time. Women shop talk about men all the time. If you had any real friends Lynne, you might know this.

  4. I would happily vote for an American Margaret Thatcher. It's the outlook, not the look, that counts for most of us.

  5. Interesting women competing with each other in dog eat dog style is never part of the discussion.

  6. KCMO is still the worst place on earth for single women.

  7. Trump winning has turned Lynne crazy.

I'm glad that people didn't let her get away with false stories. Trump supporters are not harassing Muslims, gays or blacks. It's media lies. And I'm glad people are confronting Lynne on that BS.

  8. Trump won the vote of the majority of white women. Don't let the facts deter you from your faux narrative.

  9. I'll read this TKC post, but refuse to link to the full story, because blogger Lynne Bratcher doesn't believe in freedom of speech.

She believes in spewing divisive retaliatory comments to those who disagree with her politically, yet refuses to allow them the same privilege. The fact that she's a discrimination attorney just makes it that much more worse.

In regards to women being judged more harshly than men, Ms. Bratcher should begin by addressing her comments to all women. Women judging other women is the real issue being raised here. That Ms. Bratcher attempts to use this issue to further malign President-Elect Trump is merely indicative of her being a sore loser, being vindictive, and being out of touch with the Red Wave which rests atop Kansas and Missouri.

  10. Kansas City has lots of hang ups. Trump love is the worst one.

  11. One of the problems with being obsessed with identity politics is that it misses everything. Take Lynne's column. Let's put aside the crushing irony of addressing anything about women's rights in a discussion involving the Clintons. Let's even practice selective amnesia about the way in which this weak, damaged candidate was forced on Democrats through a deeply corrupt process. Lynne's shallow analysis does not capture the interesting fact that women voted for Trump. Is it possible that American voters were educated and savvy enough to say: Not this particular woman?

I say this because Hillary's double X chromosome and her marriage to a President were her only real qualifications.

Lynne, own up to the real reasons for your crushing defeat. That is the only way you avoid recreating the past.

  12. Liberal please, there were never a glass ceiling for working people to break through.

  13. Hilly's "nasty" crook, liar DNA goes way back to the early 70's when Tip O'Neill and other ranking Dems tossed her off that Watergate assignment. There's plenty more incidences of her "nasty" doings for four decades, all well known. Enough voters of all demographics made it known that there's not going to be a "nasty" female prez just for the sake of having a woman heading up the White House.

So, Dems get busy and bring on a better candidate for '20. Hint: Hilly-Hubble's daughter AIN'T gonna do.
