JACKSON COUNTY CHARGES DROPPED: DOES KANSAS CITY 'WALDO RAPIST' REMAIN ON THE LOOSE DESPITE HOBO ARREST???

Clever headline here but the reality is that rapes continued in this area after the arrest albeit at a slower pace . . . And the charges keeping this guy behind bars are unrelated to the more recent crisis in Waldo. Like it or not, QUESTIONS REMAIN amid this effort to quell concerns.

KMBC: Prosecutors drop remaining charges against 'Waldo rapist'

Deets:

Bernard Jackson is serving 18 consecutive life sentences, 14 of which are life without parole because of his status as a persistent sexual offender. Those cases, involving home invasion and sexual assaults between July 1983 and February 1984, have now withstood legal appeals.

In May 2011, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office filed an additional 22 felony counts involving other home invasions and sexual assaults in 2009 and 2010. In those cases, as well as the 1983 and 1984 incidents, Jackson’s victims were in the Waldo area of Kansas City . . .

A statement from the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office said victim advocates discussed the possibility of dismissing the remaining felony cases. All of the victims were happy with the dismissals, the statement said, because they knew Jackson is assured to remain in prison and they will not have to endure a trial.

Jackson County Prosecutor's Office: Knowing Jackson will spend life behind bars, prosecutors dismiss remaining felony charges

Now that it is clear that the conviction of Bernard Jackson will keep him in prison for the rest of his life, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today that the remaining rape cases pending against Jackson will be dismissed.

Jackson is serving 18 consecutive life sentences. Fourteen of those 18 are life without parole because of his status as a persistent sexual offender. Those cases, involving home invasion and sexual assaults between July 1983 and February 1984, have now withstood legal appeals.

“We are in agreement with the victims in these cases that justice has been served, knowing that Jackson will spend the rest of his life in prison,“ Baker said.

In May 2011, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office filed an additional 22 felony counts involving other home invasions and sexual assaults in 2009 and 2010. In those cases, as well as the 1983 and 1984 incidents, Jackson’s victims were in the Waldo area of Kansas City.

All remaining victims in those cases have been contacted by the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office. Victim advocates discussed the possibility of dismissing the remaining felony cases pending against Jackson. All of the victims were happy with the dismissals, the advocates reported, because they knew Jackson will remain in prison for life and they will not have to endure a trial.

Jackson County prosecutors Ted Hunt and Tricia Lacey led the prosecution of Bernard Jackson on behalf of the state of Missouri.

And those questions are what, exactly? You say there are questions but don't bother asking them (there aren't any) and don't even indicate who is asking them (nobody).

So I guess this another pointless race-baiting post, am I right?
