A great deal of political turmoil could be the root cause of this district's problems given that nearby schools have much more success teaching student populations that are demographically identical. ReplyDeleteAs a long time resident it's very sad to see what the district has become. But have no fear, Carpenter will keep spending money on worthless projects, sit quietly in his private bathroom in all new Central Office facilities and look at the want ads.
ReplyDeleteAnd why the poor performance? Black people. Bad "parents" that are dropouts themselves have illiterate, lazy kids. Not real hard to figure out.
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE living in the HMSD should go to the district website and take the online survey AdvancED Survey. This will be used for Carpenter to get the district accreditation from an alternative source instead of the State of Missouri.
ReplyDeleteI received a notice from Southern Communities Coalition that Carpenter and the entire Board of Education are the featured guests tonight, Wednesday. Meeting is at Baptiste. This may be a chance to ask questions, but forewarning once Carpenter starts hearing his own voice he's hard to shut up. This meeting sounds like a nice idea for the community to have a conversation with the Board and Superintendent, and it could be. But, most likely it's something that needs to be checked off for the alternative accreditation.
